Well as you can guess we are home from the honeymoon. We got back late on a Sunday night and I (Jeremy) had to work the very next day; boo. But we did have a great time. We posted all of the pictures on Snap Fish.
The first place we went was to Nassau. We hopped on a boat and went to Paradise Island. There we played on the beach and got some sun. I fell asleep and burned my belly, Cha called me “pinky” the rest of the trip. We did get to go to the Predator tank and see sharks, sting rays, barracuda, etc. Char stopped me from jumping in. My favorite sign said:“Do not enter the predator tank. Take a picture it will last longer than you will if you jump in!”
The next stop was so Coco Cay but the waters were too rough for the tender boats so we had another day at sea. I didn’t mind though because there is plenty to eat, drink, do, and see on the ship.
The last stop for the first 1/3 of the honeymoon was Key West. We love Key West. The atmosphere is so nice and there are realy nice shops. I think that it is a very gay community though there are flags and bondage outfits in some of the shops. But it’s nice there. Char and I rode the Conch Train and toured the city and learned about its history.
The second leg of the trip landed us in San Juan. We had a very nice room with a view of the ocean. There were Banyan trees everywhere. The pool had waterfalls and a swim-up bar and a huge Jacuzzi. We mostly sat by the pool and pinky increased his pinkness. I just loved that nickname.
The last third of the trip was aboard the Adventure of the Seas. The think was gigantic. It had 14 floors, 3 pools, too many Jacuzzi’s to count, a three floor dining room, an ice skating rink, and enough bars to keep the best alcoholic busy. I visited a few of them. Our room was like nothing I imagined. On all the other cruises we went on our room was almost big enough for two people to get dressed in. In this one Char actually asked (more than once), “where are you?” I loved the room.
The first stop was to Aruba where we went snorkeling. We swam with a school of what I guess to 250,000 small fish. It was like discovery channel in person. They even had a rope swing for us to swing off and jump into the water. I went 5 times and Char did too. On the way back they had what else but RUM PUNCH. Char had more than me because I don’t do so well with the motion of those little boats.
The next stop was in Curacao. We went shopping and toured the island. We were crossing over to the other side of the island when we nearly got stranded on the floating bridge. There was a big sign on either sign that said “When horn sounds immediately proceed to the other end of the bridge.” What they didn’t say is that it takes 3 minutes to cross. So we are crossing, the horn sounds, we get to the other side and the bridge is almost completely open. I felt bad for the people who stopped half way to take pictures they were surly trapped. There wasn’t much else to do so we shopped and ate and went back to the ship.

That night we hit the casino, hard. I played craps till 2:30 in the morning and came back to the room with much more money than I left the room with. That was a fun night. The next day I went to a shop on the ship and bought Char a diamond cross necklace with the winnings! We put the rest of the winnings on our account to cover the booze.
The next stop was to St. Marteen. We bought a bunch of souvenirs and a bottle of guavaberry rum. This stuff is great. I made mom try some, she likes it. There we were only propositioned three times for drugs (less than others we heard). The Island was so nice it was just like out of a James Bond movie. There was crystal clear water and white sand beaches. If I could have I would never have left.

The Last stop on the honeymoon was in St. Thomas. As we were leaving the boat I felt bad for the morons who had “bad habits” on the previous island because border patrol from the US brought drug dogs on the ship and a few people didn’t make it back to San Juan with the boat, if you know what I mean.

In St. Thomas we went snorkeling again (at Christmas Cove). This time Char got the fright of a lifetime when a conch shell can to life and scared the crap out of her. I thought that she was having a seizure. But she did perfectly fine when a sea turtle tried to kiss her. It was so cute, this turtle is coming right at her and we weren’t allowed to touch them so she is swimming backwards trying to stay away and this thing wants to kiss her. I loved it. Wish I had a water camera for that one. We got back onto the boat where they made; you guessed it RUM PUNCH! These guys were crazy. By the time we got to the next stop they had gone through 15 bottles of rum. We stopped at another beach (Honeymooner’s Cove) and had a barbecue lunch. I tried to put the moves on Char in the water but let’s face it this is not Lake Erie and the people on shore would have seen everything. Sorry, no. So we finally got back on the boat to go back to the ship when the guys made… RUM PUNCH. By the time we got back to the ship most of the people on our trip were staggering and falling and slurring. 22 bottles of rum, not even close to the record though.

That night Char wasn’t feeling well so she went to bed early. I went to walk and take pictures when I stopped to watch us leave St. Thomas. As I stood there I realized that I was only ¼ mile from shore and only 20 feet above the water. As I stood there thinking I can make it, this guy says “I thought about it too for a while.” It was just so sad to think that I was going home to work and 40 degree weather. But hey it’s football season and I have tickets to next weeks game.
I know it’s a long story but that is what we did. And I couldn’t have spent that time with a better person!
